Lumayo Ka Nga Sa Akin
by Bob Ong

My second time in the “Land of Promise” was in the largest city in the world in terms of land area, and also the third most popular city in the country following Manila and Cebu. It was known for the highest peak in the Philippines, Mount Apo; the country’s national bird, Philippine Eagle; and the smelly yet flavorsome, Durian fruit.
I’ve read somewhere that because Davao has more of everything there is in the country, it is sometimes considered as the ‘Instant Philippines’. There are natural resources, beautiful sceneries, refreshing beaches, extreme adventures, lush greeneries, abundant fruits in season, and exotic flora and fauna all in one place.
I’ve got a load of new and interesting experiences from this trip so expect that there’d be a series of posts about Davao in the coming days.

How to Turn Thoughts into Things
by Bo Sanchez
Here’s another book written by the same author of the first two books in my reading challenge. Just like all the others, it’s an easy read. It was filled with everyday short stories anyone can relate to, matched with beautiful verses from the Bible.
If you are familiar with the “The Secret”, this book says the same. It simply reminds that the entire physical and spiritual universe around us is conspiring, plotting and conniving to give us massive abundance. It claims that Positive Thinking and Generosity can create life-changing results. That to be able to receive, we must learn to give as well.

Tada! My first artwork! I know, I know. Don't judge me, this is my first time to draw. I mean, seriously draw. I need more practice, both in drawing and coloring using Photoshop. This is my first attempt. Just trying.

Here’s my second planner, the Awesome Planner 2012, created by Anton Diaz, founder of www.OurAwesomePlanet.com.
I’ve been using the Belle De Jour Planner in the past 3 years but I realized that it’s too bulky and heavy to be with me every day. Although it’s very eye-candy and beautifully personalized according to women’s needs, I find most of its pages and free coupons unnecessary especially that I’m not really much of a shopper.
So this year, I decided to find something that is smaller and easier to sneak inside my bag, and also something that would fit my lifestyle. As mentioned in my other post, the first planner I got was the Starbucks Planner which this year was only the first time I ever collected stickers to get it just because prior Starbucks Planners are also heavy and bulky.
Anyway, being a travelholic myself, I instantly fell in love with this planner the first time I saw it online.

I covered it with plastic and put my name on it.
I got my Starbucks Planner last December for only 14 stickers.
Starbucks Philippines celebrated its 15th year (coincidentally, the same day as my birthday, too) so they held a promo (within a promo) that for a certain period, the planner can be exchanged for only 14 stickers. Hey, that’s 3 stickers free.
Thanks to all the sticker contributors in my promo card. Much love. ♥
